Why should we still retain Ganguly as Captain

Though it appears that Sourav Ganguly does not deserve an extra's place in the Indian team, forget that of the captain, there are at least reasons why he should be persisted.
1. He has scored 8 centuries in World Cup. Not even Viv Richards has scored these many. That most of thesecenturies have been againstEthopia and other non test playing nations is another story.
2. He has won us maximum number of test. Ganguly's win loss record is better than any other Indian captain. Of course the other captains did not have the opportunity to play against Bangladesh and such weak teams.
3. He has a high batting average. Well yes he sure does. With this high anaverage we can conveniently forget that he has a pathetic average of around 20 against test playing nations for the past year or so.
4. He is a great leader. Ahh, its amazing the way Ganguly stood by Yuvraj and Kaif. We should definately not mind if such a great leader persists with a pathetic players like Deep Das Gupta (from his home state) or underutilising and detroying careers of an array of other youngsters.
5. Ganguly and "you know who" of India cricket are from the same state. The head honcho of Indian cricket and Ganguly are from the same state and probably have the same mother tongue. This ensures perfect coordination and ensures that the managements decision takes preference over statistics.
